ANIME Z Festival
of
mangá, cosplay and games

Between days 5 to 6 in august, 2006
in Colégio( High School )Júlio de Castilhos, PORTO ALEGRE – RS
it
WILL OFFER WORKSHOPS of MANGA DRAWING
with
FREE ENTRANCE

I will be teaching those two manga workshops:

– By Saturday( August 5 ), a workshop on “shojo” manga * by the afternoon, hours 14 to 16h.

– By Sunday( August 6 ), a workshop on “kodomo” * * manga, by the afternoon, hours 13 to 15h.

Respectively, two manga drawing workshops on feminine characters( women and girls )*, children´s and directed to children´s audience** alike.

The workshops will have support material as visual polygraphs and references avaiable for both.
Their program is:

Saturday:
– Structure and ratio for Shojo manga;
– Drawing of adult and children characters;
– Drapery and hair drawing how-tos.

Sunday:
– SD stylization;
– Drawing for Kodomo(for children)manga;
– Accessories and effects.

and Conclusion work.
Also, by Saturday( august 5 ), at afternoon, from 16 to 17h, I will do a lecture on shojo manga, right after the classes; the lecture is open to any participants, even from outside the actual class workshop, since it´s being part of the named event itself.

By the end of the day, at 18h, we´ll have an open debate on editorial trends for Brazil, which I was invited to participate, too.

And:

By Sunday( august 6 ), on his own manga illustration workshop, teached by my friend Daniel HDR, between hours 15 to 17 of the day´s afternoon.

More information about that workshop can be taken with himself, though I strongly reccomend his work!

All the two turns I´ll do will have 2 hour-lesson each, what perfacts 4 hour-lessons to the total – if completed, the workshops can be certifyed to the end for the participants, if they appear to the all the lessons and conclude a work on drawing, executed in class with the assistance of the teacher.

All lessons are with free entrance, but with a limited number limited of students by group( 15 passwords in the maximum for each ), though those can be reserved in the place of the event, or among its organizers!

Anime Z Festival, an anime and manga convention in my city( Porto Alegre, RS – in Brazil )will be in August 5 and 6, 2006!

And… I was invited for teaching some shojo and kodomo ( japanese children´s comics style ) and SD manga drawing workshops, for the convention – I hope to have some works( some of them made especially for the event – though you can find the themes familiar, by then – but that´s a surprise I want to keep until I release them, either there and here ^^ )in an artshow there as well – so please wish me luck… !

Marcos Pinto.
( and a worthless one to boot )
One can name it as would wish, but I actually know how to name this **** myself; that was my damn so-called life anyway.

Enjoy the fireworks.
:X.x:

I am a Brazilian teacher on Graphic Arts, trilingual( as I speak English, French and Spanish, though I also speak Portuguese, which is my primary Language of course ), and I´m also an illustrator with 25 years of experience and published works on Literature, Cartoons and Comics, all of them dedicated to children and youngster´s audience.

Those works were either published in Brazil, and also divulged overseas.

I was contracted by some Cultural Entities in my own State and others, teaching courses and workshops related.

Also, I organized and made avaible for public consultation the first two comics libraries( ever )in my State:

One, with more than two thousand items on comics and art books related to, and also another library, this one for reference with more than five thousand items. Both libraries were dedicated to either public consultation and also for the related courses, as named below in my resume.

Also, I had an uninterrupted participation during “Feira do Livro”( International Book Fair in Porto Alegre )editions, between the years 1991 to 2004 – and also teaching workshops and promoting parallel activities related to those Book Fairs – aside the courses that I teached by then, either in the MARGS ( State Museum of Art ),or in MSC( Social Communications and Media State Museum ), both located in Porto Alegre city ( capital of Rio Grande do Sul state – in Brazil )during all those editions of the named Book Fairs, as said above.

And I participated of many other related events( as
related in my resume in annex ), at other States, always as professor and lecturer.

I am also experienced in some programs on the Windows operating system, such as:

Microsoft Office( Word and Excel ),
Microsoft Frontpage
Macromedia Dreamweaver

and by Linux operating system, too:
as
Linux StarOffice

Of course,

I also work with graphical programs, such as
Corel Draw and Photoshop( for Windows )
and GIMP( for Linux ).

Therefore,

If it will be of your interest, I would like to be able to present my resume for appreciation and to invite you to visit my website and galleries:

A post-scriptum edit:

So, that´s a resume from my pointless life.

I think I should guess you people must be thinking WHY in the heck did I posted it here… but no, before any other one else could try to guess anything…

No, I´m NOT feeling self-proclaiming( as a “Boom!Boom!Boom! Ohoy everyone hear, it´s ME!” or so alike ), either – if not, I´m feeling the very same contrary.

I was recollecting those things to try to can feel any better, but, as it goes, it went to make me feel worse – since everything´s above( as many other topics I guess I forgot to recollect too, and those are just too much sh*t, after all ), everything´s above, all meant nothing; so I couldn´t try to feel any better just by recollecting those – a pile of crap isn´t less stinky as it gets bigger; in fact, it can be just suffocating instead, face the actual void it meant, afterall.

“So, the rest is stench“( sic ).

Enough of.

I never could see “Go Goo go” FHIF episode.
( Actually, this fanart will be to “scraps” after being posted here – in fact, since Goo, judging from some screenshots I could get, and moreso comparing hers to Frankie´s height, I guess that she´s a 9-years old – “Chani” was supposed to be just 6 years of age.

I´m sorry if I couldn´t get any better here( due to several limitations, which include even a proper place to can draw it ), so this doodle will be moved once I could correct, scan, and post a new version of this( since Goo and “Chani” would be supposed to be holding their hands here – so, “Chani” should be WAY shorter/smaller than… ).
So, once again, I´m sorry.

FHIF series by Craig McCracken

“Foster´s Home for Imaginary Friends” character ( Goo ) created by Lauren Faust, from a FHIF episode wrote by herself.

“Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls” fan based character( Chani* depicted here, is )were inspired by MWGG – so, by all means, it belongs to her.

*”Chani” is a fanbased character from Ms. Faust´s “Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls”.

” – What´s the fun on being a kid and can´t eat some candy?”

So, well kids from( and of )ANY age,
Enjoy yourselves!
^^

Just an idea I went through, yesterday – so if Mac would pass the night at Foster´s ( and that´s Winter time, judging from the clothes ); since I knew that there´s two actual episodes dealing about a similar subject( “sugar” )either for Mac´s, and either for Frankie´s, I just wished to put it on… with Mme. Foster in, of course – actually, as much I love the bodnship among her and Frankie, would be nice pick a little of it for Mac, indeed.

So, one can still be free to blame me if I´m ruining it, as usual; in fact, you should know me already… !

Though I still can imagine that Bloo must be assaulting the fridge, now( off-scene, of course ), and building a twelve-story sandwich – or somewhat as tasty… and moreso still, knowing Bloo, he must be adding that it is “just” twelve. Go figure.

“Foster´s Home for Imaginary Friends” characters( Mac, Frankie, and Mme. Foster )
were created by Craig McCracken
The look on Frankie´s hair down was inspired
from PhantomGoDeo´s FHIF fancomic – also posted there at DevianArt.

So, it seems like the puppies found a definitive home for them… !
